A story of passion, territory and encounters
La Manufacture was born from a few people's love for Quebec: its landscapes, its seasons, its producers, and the conviction that this Laurentian region had something unique to offer the world of fine spirits.
Established in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts in 2019, the distillery has grown with a clear mission: to produce and market high-end spirits, distinguished by their taste and packaging, made from Quebec raw materials.
What has guided us since day one: authenticity, artisanal rigor, and a sincere attachment to the region that nourishes us, in the literal sense of the term.

The creator. The distiller. The one who transforms an idea into flavor.
He could have stayed in the microbrewery world, where he had already made his mark in marketing. But it was in a vineyard in Burgundy that something changed. Discovering spirits, Laurent fell into something he didn't want to leave.
He traveled. The United States, Alsace, Brittany, Ireland. He learned. Rumor even has it that he did his first distillations in the basement of a house on the South Shore, with local cherries, long before undergoing his official training.

The jack-of-all-trades. The one-man band. The one who is everywhere at once.
Born in the Laurentians, he took the long way around: political science and literary studies at UQAM, a diploma in microbrewery production techniques at Cégep de Jonquière, and stints at Riverbend, Micro du Lac, and La Voie Maltée.
Between hikes and poetry slam nights, he returned heartbroken to the Laurentians. A pandemic surge later, he landed at La Manufacture. What he loves most: introducing the public to the region's artisanal craftsmanship, both in the shop and at events. What he likes least: opening the still when it's 50 degrees with the humidex.
